Hello! I’m Kristin and I am the founder of KZ Doodles! I have always loved animals, especially dogs!  It all started when I was two years old with my first puppy, “Rufus,”  from that moment I was hooked!

Together with my husband, Tad and our four children,  we live in Melba, Idaho.  Tad is extremely busy living his dream of running the family farm, and I am living my dream of raising children and puppies!  I take my job very serious and together with my family, we pour our hearts into these puppies.  I’m not providing you with a pet, I’m providing you with a new member of your family that will bring so much joy and love into your home and into your heart.

We believe it is important to not only prepare our puppies for success but also our families for bringing a puppy home.  We want you to feel educated and confident in raising your puppy.

We use many training techniques with our puppies, including Puppy Culture, ENS, Empowered Breeders, temperament testing, and socialization methods we have derived on our own from our many years of experience breeding.

Crate training–  Starting at four weeks old we introduce the “open-door” crate.  Gradually we work up to our puppies sleeping through the night at 7 weeks old in their crates.

Potty training– Starting at three weeks old we add potty trays so that right in the beginning they learn that there is a “place” to go potty.  As the puppies grow and we expand their play and living area, they understand that there is a place to sleep, play, and go potty.

You will see the difference in our puppies!  We go the extra mile in our training because we know it makes a difference in creating confident, healthy and happy puppies.

KZ Doodles is located in Melba, Idaho. Never heard of it? Most people haven’t! We are about 45 minutes southwest of Boise, Idaho. We like to think of it as the “Seed Heart of America.” It’s where the dirt never settles and the tractors run from dawn until dusk. Come and visit! You won’t only fall in love with our puppies but also with our town!
